Since Titans have so many powerful Super and neutral-enhancing Exotics, it's hard to justify using this helmet over other options. It can be fun to play as aggressively as possible, yet the overshield's strength isn't enough to sustain serious damage in pinnacle PvE content. Gaining an overshield after a kill in PvE isn't as useful as it sounds. It works in PvE too, albeit at the cost of using another Exotic that could enhance your abilities. The boost to your shields can make follow-up engagements much more manageable. Should you kill them, you gain an overshield for ten seconds. According to the patch notes, the reduced duration that your abilities are empowered has been reduced from ten seconds to five, a whopping 50% decrease! In addition, the regeneration rate has been reduced across PvP and PvE too. So for example, by using your grenade, the barrier you place down afterwards would be stronger.Īs you can imagine, this made the Heart of Inmost Light a versatile and highly sought after piece of gear! It’s with this context that you can understand why some Titan players are so salty. The exotic in question is the Heart of Inmost Light, which had previously been a staple of PVE builds due to its hugely powerful ability to buff the power and regeneration of your whole kit.
